"people only know what you tell them"
If you have ever thought for a minute that what you say and what you post is not subject to unconstitutional interception by our own government then you my friend have not been paying attention.

At the end of the day, the NSA relies on the same technology the rest of us do. The state-of-the-art stuff like quantum cryptography has too many limitations, and using lower-tech solutions will always be more cost effective no matter what you're doing.

If you're really paranoid, two decks of cards make a great one-time pad, and I remember Neal Stephenson telling us all how to create a reusable key with those two decks in the appendix of one of his books.
