Question: What do you think is the most valuable programming language for real-life?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Most valuable if you mean most transferrable to the most NUMBER of jobs? Or most valuable meaning most rare to have that language so possibly more valuable to a few employers?Good question!
IMHO, I most often see a use for SQL. I'm always looking for people who know it in addition to having some social skills and analytical skills. However, it is not particularly difficult nor uncommon.
Thus, I'm thinking the best would be Java, which would probably be more lucrative.
Answer #2:
The most valuable is the one best suited to the program you have to write. Writing a website in C++ is somewhere between masochism and impossible. Writing a word processor in Perl is stupid. A programmer who learns one language is like a carpenter who learns "hammer". It's difficult to cut lumber with one.Answer #3:
If I had to pick one, I'd say Java.** Powered by Yahoo Answers
